What you would do
Typical responsibilities could include:
- Conducting daily and phase-specific field inspections to verify construction quality against approved plans and specifications
- Documenting inspection findings, non-conformances and corrective actions
- Coordinating with contractors, engineers and project management to resolve quality issues
- Managing construction sequencing reviews and confirming compliance with design intent
- Monitoring safety protocols and reporting incidents or hazards to project leadership
- Maintaining inspection records, test reports and compliance documentation
- Liaising with building inspectors, code officials and regulatory agencies
- Supporting budget tracking related to quality remediation and change orders
What you could bring
Most roles of this type require the following:
- 5–10 years’ experience in civil inspection, quality assurance or site management roles
- Proficiency with AutoCAD for plan review and site documentation
- Knowledge of building codes, safety standards and construction practices
- Experience with field inspection protocols, testing procedures and compliance reporting
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent professional experience
- Valid driver’s license and ability to work on-site in variable weather conditions
- Authorization to work in the United States
