STS Technical Services is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to ensure the highest standards of aircraft assembly and product quality. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting aircraft assembly activities, identifying deviations, and supporting preventive and corrective actions to ensure compliance with government and company standards. You will play an integral part in the delivery of high-quality products and services to our customers.

Job Responsibilities

Inspect the installation and operation of aircraft parts and equipment.

Inspect work areas to detect potential quality and air safety risks.

Read and understand applicable technical information from work instructions, drawings, standards, and specifications.

Document production and process non-conformances.

Use inspection tools and test equipment relevant to the activity.

Perform necessary work registers as requested by production and quality documents.

Prepare technical reports on quality deviations for engineering analysis.

Support root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive actions.

Participate in Kaizen events and projects to improve efficiency and quality goals.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Education:

Required:
High School Diploma or GED.

Desired:
Associate’s degree in Aviation.

Experience:

1-4 years of quality experience in an aeronautical environment.

Previous experience with aerospace quality systems that meet FAA requirements.

Capable of performing standard tasks under supervision.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access).

Experience using basic measurement instruments and test equipment.

Ability to read and interpret technical data (blueprints, specifications, requirements).

Experience in aviation or quality inspection is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Ability to read and interpret technical documents using the metric system.

Understand procedures and contribute to problem-solving and improvement suggestions.

Familiar with safety and operating procedures for power-on aircraft.

Experience with precision measurement instruments and test equipment.

Strong teamwork, logical thinking, attention to detail, and safety awareness.

Ability to comply with FAA random drug and alcohol testing requirements and annual vision tests.
