Job Title: Junior QA Consultant
Location: Atlanta, GA 30308 (Hybrid – Onsite at least 1 day/week)

Job Summary:
The Client is seeking a Junior QA Consultant to support testing and quality assurance across various custom and GIS-based applications. This individual will contribute to the development and execution of test plans, work collaboratively across teams in an Agile environment, and help ensure all solutions meet business and technical requirements.
This position reports to the QA Testing Lead and is expected to support the full software testing lifecycle (STLC). Local candidates only, due to hybrid work requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for GDOT custom and GIS applications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, developers, and vendors
Ensure proper documentation of test cases, results, and Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTM)
Conduct manual testing and utilize tools such as TFS, JIRA, GitHub, and ServiceNow
Review and analyze business and system requirements
Identify, log, and help resolve defects and bugs
Support UAT by assisting business SMEs and validating test results
Attend defect triage meetings and provide weekly QA status updates
Participate in all phases of testing, including regression, performance, and post-go-live validation
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum 3 years of software testing experience
Experience in testing custom and GIS components
Proficient in test case creation, execution, and documentation
Hands-on experience with tools: GitHub, ServiceNow, TFS, JIRA
Strong understanding of QA best practices and STLC/SDLC methodologies
Ability to analyze system specifications and technical documents
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with Agile development and test environments
Preferred Qualifications:
Public sector experience
Mobile device testing experience
Certified in one or more QA certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE, CAST)
Experience with test automation tools is a plus

Pay: $41.00 per hour
