Job Summary
The Quality Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance and control processes within the HVAC manufacturing plant. This role involves conducting inspections, audits, and tests to ensure products meet quality standards, identifying and resolving quality issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reliability.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance and control procedures to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
Conduct inspections and tests of incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet quality specifications.
Develop and maintain quality control documentation, including inspection checklists, test plans, and quality reports.
Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
Conduct internal quality audits to ensure compliance with quality management system (QMS) requirements and regulatory standards.
Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure quality performance and drive improvements.
Develop and implement testing protocols and procedures for HVAC products to ensure they meet performance and reliability requirements.
Conduct product testing and validation, including environmental, mechanical, and functional tests.
Provide support to customers regarding quality issues, including addressing complaints, conducting investigations, and providing solutions.
Develop and deliver quality training programs for employees, including training on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
Work with the design and engineering teams to develop quality plans for new products, including design for quality and reliability (DFQR).
Conduct failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to identify and mitigate potential quality issues in new products.
Skills
Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), quality assurance principles, and quality control techniques.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Proficiency with quality tools and methodologies, including statistical process control (SPC), FMEA, and Six Sigma.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and manage quality improvement projects.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.

Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
