MuniBilling is a leading provider of utility billing software, delivering innovative solutions to property management companies and utility providers. Our platform integrates Ruby on Rails, React, mobile applications, MySQL, Jasper Reports, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to provide seamless utility billing management. As we expand our QA Teams, we seek a QA Engineer to enhance our software’s quality and reliability through manual and automated testing.

Job Summary.
As a QA Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality of our SaaS platform, working across web, mobile, and API applications. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test plans, with a focus on assisting with the expansion of the current automated testing performed using Katalon. This role involves close collaboration with developers, product managers, DevOps, and other QA resources to maintain a high software quality standard.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and execute manual and automated test cases for web, mobile, and API applications.
Design and implement automated test scripts using Katalon Studio to improve test coverage.
Conduct functional, regression, integration, UI/UX, and performance testing.
Analyze test results, report defects in Jira, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
Ensure comprehensive test coverage by reviewing requirements, specifications, and technical designs.
Validate data accuracy and system behavior using SQL queries on a MySQL backend.
Perform API testing using tools like Postman and automated API validation in Katalon.
Work with CI/CD pipelines in GCP to integrate automated tests into the deployment workflow.
Validate Jasper Reports functionality to ensure data integrity and report accuracy.
Continuously improve QA processes, tools, and best practices for scaling automated testing.
Participate in Agile development processes, including planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Required Qualifications

2-4 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a mix of manual and automated testing.
Solid understanding of web, mobile, and API testing principles.
Hands-on experience writing basic scripts in JavaScript, Groovy, or Python for test automation.
Experience with Katalon or similar test automation frameworks.
Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., Jiral) and defect tracking.
Experience with SQL queries to validate database transactions and troubleshoot backend issues.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and working in cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
Exposure to GCP-based deployments and logging tools like Stackdriver/Cloud Logging.
Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter.
Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and branching strategies.
