As our agency provides direct care to young people that are 18-24 years old, we require that applicants are at least 25 years old.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Director of Government Grants & Compliance, the Quality Assurance Associate (QA Assoc) plays a vital role in supporting the agency’s efforts to maintain high-quality, effective programming for youth experiencing homelessness. The QA Assoc will be responsible for ensuring data integrity and quality across all program areas, contributing to programmatic management through the review and monitoring of service delivery documentation, and promoting compliance with private and government funder requirements.
This position coordinates closely with program staff to support accurate and timely data entry, maintain and monitor program databases (including ETO, HMIS, and others), and ensure adherence to best practices and tracking standards. The QA Assoc will also assist with internal audits, program evaluation reporting, and preparation for site visits and compliance reviews. Additionally, this role supports the agency’s funding needs by contributing to grant reporting processes, collecting data to demonstrate program outcomes, and participating in cross-functional meetings with service programs and the Director.
Classification: Full-time 40 hours per week
Pay range: $24-$28 / hour
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Works collaboratively with CHC’s Program teams to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of data entry across program databases (e.g., ETO, HMIS, internal tracking systems).
Provide a high level of customer service to partnering departments including programs, HR, development and finance. This includes communicating requests for information you may need to accomplish your goals, as well as providing information others request to inform their goals.
Maintain updated documentation of data standards, protocols, and procedures for assigned contracts, systems or areas of scope defined by the Director of QA.
Maintains census and bed list reports at all sites, mitigating any gaps in accuracy and proper training of staff members in those data systems.
Responsible for compliance with the Skill Up Los Angeles (SULA) CalFresh E&T contract via the County of Los Angeles, including assistance with enrolling clients in CalFresh, and providing initial assessments as they relate to the program. Attend mandatory training/meetings related to the contract.
Responsible for compliance with the agency’s CalAim initiatives, including enrolling youth into various CalAim systems for benefits and ensuring timely submission of monthly data. Attend mandatory training/meetings related to the contract.
Responsible for compliance with the agency’s Survivor Services contract (City of LA), including ensuring timely submission of monthly data. Attend mandatory training/meetings related to the contract.
Conduct routine data quality checks and audits to identify errors or inconsistencies, and work with agency staff on the correction process.
Monitor program performance metrics in alignment with agency goals and funder requirements, including performing routine chart audits, and summarize findings and recommendations.
Assist in the preparation of data reports for funders, government agencies, and internal stakeholders.
Document Management: Assist in maintaining the various filing systems at each site in an organized and consistent manner. Charts and documentation: Prepare charts for audit-readiness and ensure that all contractually required paperwork, signatures and audit sheets are maintained by program.
Respond to job related emails, voicemails and direct requests from in a timely and professional manner.
Participate in weekly QA team meetings, and other meetings as assigned.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: High School Diploma required.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant data management experience, including interacting with both sql- and internet-based databases. HMIS and/or Bonterra ETO or similar database experience is preferred.
SKILLS:Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be computer literate (Word, Excel, and Outlook.) Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite is preferred. Must have experience using relational databases. Highly self-motivated with proven organizational skills and attention to detail.
TRANSPORTATION: Must have a valid CA driver’s license, good driving record and reliable transportation.
WORKING CONDITIONS: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. General business/office/shelter environment. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. on occasion, bend, sit and stand for prolonged periods of time. As we are open 24/7, Staff may be required to work occasional weekend days or holidays. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work occasionally in outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. This is a Full-Time 40 hour per week position.
KNOWLEDGE/TRAINING: Has and/or willing to obtain training and knowledge in the following areas: Understanding of trauma-informed care, youth development principles, and barriers faced by youth experiencing homelessness.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES: Not Applicable. This position does not supervise other staff members.
EQUIPMENT USED: Telephones, computers, computer peripherals, Microsoft Suite, ETO, HMIS, and other relational database programs, email, and internet programs.
