Position
Summary
Quality Inspectors report to the Chief Inspector/Head of Quality and are responsible for performing all Quality Control Inspections.
Primary Responsibilities
Review incoming aircraft maintenance flight logs for required work.
Perform primary inspections on aircraft.
Procure forms and work orders; transfer work to forms.
Supervise work in progress and accept or reject work based on inspections.
Conduct internal audits as needed.
Ensure accurate entries in maintenance logs and airworthiness release.
Check installation, security, safety, workmanship, and conformance to specifications.
Perform internal and external audits; conduct receiving inspections.
Assist in developing processes and procedures.
Coordinate workflow between departments.
Support component shop and tooling design.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance or related field.
Quality Control experience required.
Proficient in MS Office Suite.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and use measurement equipment.
FAA A&P license required;
Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
U.S. citizenship or Permanent Resident status required.
Ability to travel domestically up to 10%.
Good communication skills, ability to work independently, and adherence to safety procedures.
Physical ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and perform inspections.
Additional Requirements
Must be able to see clearly (20/20 vision with or without correction) and hear adequately.
Ability to interpret measurement equipment and manuals.
