Quality Inspector – Day Shift Jobs in South Salt Lake, UT at Stack Metallurgical Services, Inc.
The Senior Quality Engineer position assists with developing, improving, and maintaining our quality manufacturing processes and quality system. This position works closely and effectively with Quality, Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, vendors, and customers. This is accomplished through the following essential functions:
Company Lead Internal and External ISO 9001:2015 Auditor.
Generate Engineering Change Requests for engineering changes.
Internal and External process engineering.
Supplier Quality Management.
Internal and External 8D Corrective Action Lead.
Project Leader or participant in Continuous Improvement efforts such as Lean Kaizen events or 6 Sigma DMAIC projects.
Participate in Engineering Change Order meetings, make recommendations, and complete Engineering Change Orders.
Generate PFMEA’s and Control Plans, when applicable.
Gage R&R studies.
Application of statistical process controls and use of Mini-tab.
PPAP submissions, when required by our customers.
Material Review Board Team Lead.
Warranty Team Lead.
Assist in inspecting incoming components, as required during peak times.
Assist with product quality and mid-build inspections, as required.
Assist in completing Nonconformance Reports and Logs, as needed.
Participate in Quality department team meetings.
Inspect work areas for hazards to ensure compliance with company, federal, and state safety policies and regulations.
Follow health and safety procedures and protocols.
Clean and maintain cleanliness of work area.
Maintain constant communication with Manager about job progress.
Complete other tasks as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
