Job Summary:
The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and proposing measures to correct or improve Legacy’s products and processes to meet established quality standards.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Determine and use appropriate inspection processes to confirm assigned parts meet specifications per the customer’s blueprints.
Identify issues or potential issues with parts prior to them leaving for delivery.
Ensure parts meet customer expectations based on company objectives.
Communicate the results of inspections and put forward corrective suggestions.
Perform routine inspections and quality tests.
Prepare and implement quality assurance policies and procedures.
Prepare paperwork and reports documenting inspection findings.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Detail-oriented.
Strong analytical skills to monitor work processes, inspect various types of metal, read and interpret blueprints that contain precise measurements, and to make calculations necessary to machine metal to match specific designs.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work in a collaborative environment with other team members and customers.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and stay on task.
Consistently seek ways to enhance processes and procedures without sacrificing safety or integrity.
Must be proficient with computer programs such as Microsoft Windows and Office software applications.

Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent Required.
Certificate in quality assurance is preferred.
Experience in a metal fabrication environment preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Work is performed by standing and/or walking.
Requires the ability to communicate effectively.
Must be able to lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 60 pounds regularly.
Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, crawl, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently.
Sit, stand, and walk for 1-10 hours per day.
Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases.
Work in a fast-paced environment wearing hearing protection, vision protection, steel-toed shoes, and other appropriate protective clothing.
