Duties to Include: The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for the overall completion of Inspection tasks at Up North Aero.

In addition, the Quality Control Inspector is responsible for the following:

1. Proper documentation of maintenance actions on appropriate forms, work orders, tags, or aircraft logs.

2. To ensure that no defective or unairworthy parts are installed in any component released by Up North Aero.

3. The final acceptance of all incoming material, including new parts, supplies, and the airworthiness of articles on which work has been performed outside the repair station by contract.

4. Maintain records of calibrated tools and precision test equipment and ensure that the established intervals are not exceeded.

5. Ensure that all inspections are properly performed on all completed work before it is released to the customer, and that the proper inspection records, reports, and forms used by Up North Aero are properly executed.

6. Comply with repair station procedures (RSM/QCM) and company policies (SOP’s) when performing aircraft or component maintenance.

7. Performance of in-process and final inspections of components to endure they meet the Return to Service Criteria.

8. Maintain compliance with 14 CFR Part 145 and Repair Station Records.

9. To maintain their work area in a clean, neat and orderly manner.

10. To ensure safe work practices are followed.

Requirements:

1. Thoroughly familiar with the applicable regulations and with the inspection methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools used to determine the airworthiness of the article on which maintenance, preventive maintenance, or alternations are being performed.

2. Proficient in using the various types of inspection equipment and visual inspection aids appropriate for the article being inspected.

3. Quality Control Inspector will be properly certificated in accordance with FAR Part 65.

4. Understand, read, and write English

Experience/Education:

1. Knowledge of 14 CFR 145 operations and environment.

2. FAA A&P certification required.

3. 1-3 years’ experience in an aviation maintenance environment.

4. Must be a US citizen.

5. High school diploma or equivalent required.

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs for approximately 25% of the average workday.

2. Ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods.

Classification / Compensation:

This is a Part-Time position for the right person to come onboard with the Up North Aero Maintenance team.

Rate of Pay: $25 -$35 hourly

Hours: 12:00p – 4:00p (Flexible)

Days of week: Mon – Fri
