What would I be doing each day in this job, you ask? This position collects water samples, performs field tests for various water quality parameters, coordinates laboratory analyses for compliance with drinking water rules and regulations and special District projects. In this position you would also assist with Compliance Section data management, data analysis, and record keeping; as well as entering data into LIMS on all samples collected and the results of those samples outsourced for analysis.
When would I be working, you wonder? This position requires working four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday. It also may require occasional after hours and overtime, as well as occasional out of town travel for training/conferences. Finally, it may require call-outs after hours or on weekends during suspected water quality emergencies.
