Major Duties and Responsibilities
Quality controls technicians perform inspections on materials.
Review final products to ensure quality specifications are met.
The technician also uses test equipment to evaluate the materials or products.
Records data from test procedures and inspections.
Create reports for the quality management team.
Approach issues using problem solving mindset and techniques.
Required Skills/Experience
A two-year degree for in a quality or engineering field, or comparable work experience is preferred.
Experience and knowledge of the industry and products preferred.
Internally – DMS Team Lead experience or Supervisor Boot Camp completion a plus.
Internally – Knowledge and training of the DMOS System a plus.
Ability to think on the fly and come up with solutions to basic problems and elevate more serious issues using facts and data.
A technician must have computer skills to record inspection data. Microsoft Excel is the most commonly used software. Proficiency with that tool is a plus. Basic knowledge is a requirement.
Quality control technicians must have strong attention to detail.
Ability to read production specifications and blueprints a plus.
