Job Purpose:

To verify, monitor, and maintain product quality from Receiving/ Warehouse to Packaging/ Shipping, and ensuring compliance with all Food Safety guidelines.

Job Duties:
Ensure all employees follow Great Kitchens Food Company programs, policy’s S.O.P.’s, BRC, FDA, USDA, and OSHA standards.
Verify that all required Production and Packaging documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Complete Pre-operational Inspection and ATP swabbing.
Complete daily/ weekly Pest Control Inspection.
Verify that all date and product codes, raw material and product weights are completed accurately and timely and conducted with the proper Tools.
Verify that all ingredients and mixes are properly labeled.
Create, edit, and print Master Case labels as necessary.
Conduct Microbiological swabbing, documentation, and prepare pick-up, as necessary.
Follow all procedures, instructions and temperature guidelines associated with the formulation of each batch of product meeting internal specifications.
Verify that all personnel are dressed referencing the GMP standard and that everyone is wearing the proper color lab coat based on the Color Code.
Verify all products produced meet all internal and customer-related specifications.
Report all internal Non-Conformances to Leads, Production Manager or FSQA Supervisor.
Complete GMP Inspections, Glass, Brittle Plastic & Ceramic Inspections, Food Defense Inspections, record findings, investigate, complete Non-Conformance documentation/ log, and train employees.
Place items on QC HOLD, complete required documentation/ log, and email team as necessary.
Report all safety concerns and incidents to the Lead, Production Supervisor or Human Resource Manager.
Complete all other duties or projects assigned by FSQA Supervisor.

Skills/Qualifications:
Good Math Skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Must have good English reading and writing skills and have legible handwriting.
Ability to follow specific directions.
Ability to clearly communicate interdepartmentally.
Good computer skills necessary (Microsoft word & excel).
Able to explain job functions to outside auditors.
Bilingual language skills in Portuguese, Creole and/or Spanish a plus.
Good leadership skill in directing Processing staff.
Work with and mentor temporary employees.
Self-motivated, work well independently as well as with a team.
Excellent attention to detail.
Able to lift 25-50lbs and stand and/or sit for 10-12 hours.
Able to bend, reach and squat.

Work Conditions:

Warm & Cold temperatures (Hot 80-90°F & Cold 35-45°F)
High noise levels in some areas of the plant.
Sudden schedule changes during seasonal volumes
Physical ability to work in a production environment with frequent bending, standing, walking, reaching, climbing and lifting required.
Must be able to lift, push, or pull 50 lbs.

Minimum Education & Experience:
High School Diploma, GED, 5 years associated experience within the food industry.
