Quality Inspector – Plastic Injection Molding Jobs in San Antonio, TX at PRECISION GROUP
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for performing in-process inspections, maintaining quality documentation, and ensuring molded parts meet established quality requirements.
The ideal candidate will have previous manufacturing quality experience and be comfortable using precision measuring equipment, including calipers, pin gauges, and micrometers.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-process inspections using written instructions, visual standards, drawings, and measuring devices.
- Inspect molded parts to ensure they meet established quality requirements.
- Identify, separate, and document nonconforming or defective parts.
- Complete and maintain required quality and inspection documentation.
- Use precision measuring equipment to verify part dimensions.
- Remove, separate, and inspect parts during molding operations as needed.
- Package and assemble parts according to work instructions when needed.
- Follow all production, quality, and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow verbal and written instructions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of quality inspection experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience using precision measuring devices, including:
- Calipers
- Pin gauges
- Micrometers
- Ability to read and follow written inspection and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify product defects.
- Ability to accurately complete inspection and quality documentation.
- Dependable and able to work effectively in a production environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to perform repetitive inspection and handling tasks.
- Ability to bend and climb a step ladder.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Compensation
$16.00–$18.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Pay: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour
