Position: Quality Inspector for Satellite Manufacturing
Location: Montreal
K2 Space seeks a skilled Quality Inspector to enhance quality standards for our innovative satellite production. Focus on rigorous inspections and quality control for structural and electrical components.
In this pivotal role, you will establish and implement comprehensive quality standards at K2 Space, ensuring the highest quality in our Mega-class satellite production. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production teams to refine inspection processes and enforce quality control measures. Your expertise will also contribute to AS9100 certification and support upcoming flight missions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct First Article Inspections (FAIRs) of machined parts
• Utilize precision measuring tools for large metallic parts
• Inspect power system hardware with specialized equipment
• Perform visual inspections on PCBAs and assemblies
• Maintain accurate documentation in ERP and MES systems
Requirements:
• 4+ years in quality inspection within engineering or manufacturing
• Proven ability to read engineering drawings, including GD&T
• Proficient with precision measuring equipment
• Familiar with ERP/MES tracking systems
• Knowledge of ITAR compliance and ESD handling
