STRATEGIC SUMMARY
Assure the Labs complete verification of supplied product according to procedures. Track and maintain ongoing measurement verification of internal processes to assure quality as scheduled on weekly and monthly basis. Insure unacceptable deviations of standards are communicated to the proper levels to trigger reaction activity.
TACTICAL SUMMARY
- Take a lead role in assuring completion of assigned tasks to meet departmental goals.
- Determine priority of tasks to assist departmental goals are met and FTP overall goals are achieved.
- Confirm incoming parts from suppliers according to the receiving inspection procedure starting at new model and into mass production as required.
- Measurement verification for internal processes that cannot be adequately verified at the process.
- Establish and track new die verification schedule as per company requirements.
- Measurement verification of parts produced off new dies and cavities as required.
- Perform material specification testing for steel and aluminum product to assure production requirements are to drawing standards.
- Communicate defective product concerns to the responsible persons or departments to assure each situation is understood and reaction procedures can be followed.
- Maintain Lab equipment operation to insure measurements are accurate and proper judgments are made.
- Assist department with improvement activity for new model and mass production.
- All other assigned duties.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Education
- Technical Education or any combination of equivalent experience and education
2. Experience
- Preferred minimum of 1 year related work
3. Computer Skills
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- Plex
4. Personal/Other Skills
- Oral and written communication skills, decent interpersonal & negotiating skills as well as organizational abilities.
- Able to manage a project with minimal assistance to achieve milestones and project goals.
- Some process knowledge of the manufacturing areas covered.
- Some knowledge of the materials, i.e.: production/quality/reporting forms, visual boards, pull card system, etc.
- Positive attitude and approach in a changing environment.
- Ability to take initiative, to maintain confidentiality, to meet deadlines, and to work in a team environment.
