We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control Analyst to lead our post-close audit process, maintain MERS compliance, and ensure the integrity of every loan file we deliver.

Position Overview:

The Quality Control Analyst will own and execute the quality control function for closed loans, ensuring loan files are accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory, investor, and internal guidelines. This role will have primary responsibility for overseeing all aspects of MERS (Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems) registration, transfers, and audit readiness.

Working cross-functionally with the closing, legal, compliance, and servicing teams, this role is essential to maintaining data integrity, operational readiness, and investor delivery performance as the company scales.

Key Responsibilities:

Post-Close Quality Control & File Audit:
Conduct detailed audits of DSCR loan files post-closing for completeness and compliance.

Identify and track deficiencies, ensure timely remediation, and escalate risk items when needed.

Validate accuracy of data across LOS, MERS, and delivery systems.

MERS Compliance & Oversight:
Own MERS processes including registration, Transfer of Servicing (TOS), and Transfer of Beneficial Rights (TOB).

Maintain monthly and quarterly MERS reconciliation.

Ensure MERS compliance documentation is up-to-date and audit-ready.

Serve as the primary internal resource for MERS training, updates, and best practices.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement:
Analyze trends in loan defects and recommend workflow or training improvements.

Maintain internal QC checklists and collaborate with leadership to evolve them as needed.

Support internal and external audits with documentation and reporting.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with legal, closing, and servicing to ensure seamless data handoffs and file completeness.

Work with capital markets and investor relations to prepare accurate delivery files for loan sales.

Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in loan quality control, compliance, or post-close auditing.

Proven experience managing MERS registration, transfers, and audits.

Strong knowledge of DSCR loans, business-purpose lending, and investor guidelines.

Familiarity with federal and state lending regulations including RESPA, TILA, ECOA, and AML.

Proficiency with LOS systems and digital audit workflows.

High attention to detail, excellent documentation practices, and strong analytical skills.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience owning MERS processes end-to-end and training others on MERS workflows.

Familiarity with post-close investor delivery and servicing data preparation.

Compensation:
Salary Range Starting (based on experience): $65,000
Bonus: 10% (Target)
