Primary Objective
Serve as a Quality Lab Technician responsible for production testing and approval processes.
Major Responsibilities
Conduct quality control testing for each production run and periodic testing for ASTM certifications, including indent and residual recovery, weight, color, thickness, squareness, dimensional stability, and layer measurement tests.
Follow policies and procedures for the quality management system to ensure inspection accuracy and suggest improvements.
Accurately capture, store, and share data efficiently.
Uphold best practices and adhere to all standards to maintain laboratory quality.
Participate in plant safety processes and ensure personal safety.
Communicate quality findings to manufacturing team members.
Assist manufacturing with start-ups and quality changes to meet standards and specifications.
Analyze production testing data and report findings.
Maintain quality measurement equipment in good working order.
Perform final product inspections to identify defects and ensure proper labeling.
Document daily findings and maintain a clean, efficient work environment.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Quality Supervisor.
Qualifications and Skills
Previous experience with quality systems preferred.
Must pass the color vision test.
Understanding of lean manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies is highly desirable.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Commitment to company values and safe work practices.
Effective time management skills.
