Main responsibilities and Key Result Areas:
A. Management of people
a. Safety
b. Maintain high level of organization and housekeeping
c. Approve Time
d. Issue discipline and coaching
e. Training
f. Assign shifts, schedules, and work
g. Lead to meet assigned targets and requirements
h. Handle personnel issues
B. Work towards meeting department goals
a. Understand goals / specifications for products
b. Participation in Daily Production Management meetings for shift
c. Work with teams to implement process improvement
d. Record data and document accuracy and/or issues
e. Participate in various management meetings as required
C. Daily Operations Control
a. Carry out production schedules
b. Quality checks
c. Process Audits to verify proper setup and operation of machines
d. Complete all required departmental documentation, as requested, documenting shift’s performance data.
e. Communication of issues to superiors
f. Minor problem solving
g. Use of data tools
i. BMS – efficiency reporting and data collection
ii. SAP – planning and reporting
BI- productivity/quality queries to improve performance or focus.
Professional qualifications and knowledge:
1. 5-10 years Supervisor / Team leader experience in a manufacturing environment.
2. Experience with LEAN or Six-Sigma a plus
3. Experience with ISO 9001/TS/IATF 16949/QMS
4. Textile related experience a plus
5. Basic to moderate computer skills; (Microsoft Office Products, Timekeeping programs, SAP, BMS)
