Job Title: Quality Assurance Supervisor
Reports to: QA Director
Location: Leland, NC
Position Summary: Supervises and coordinates the QA team, work activities, and daily operations in the Quality Department.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Plan and assign responsibilities for the Quality Assurance Technicians on each shift making sure that the workload is equitable.
Ensure/audit that all quality standards are being met on the production floor, including timing of inspections.
Ensure that all Quality Assurance Technicians are properly trained.
Develop a fully cross trained staff on each shift
Ensure that all History Records are properly completed during the shift.
Ensure that all Inspection Records are complete and entered into the database during the shift.
Ensure that all records and retains are properly stored and the retain area is always organized.
Review all potential non-conforming materials and, along with the Director, develop plans to handle the issue.
Ensure that Quality Alerts are properly entered into the database.
Drive/lead action in the Material Review Board
Control the Quarantine Area
Publish rework instructions as needed and ensure that they are followed.
Transfer materials in the MAS database as needed
Lead the team and the production area in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Handle all Returns for Customers in a timely manner.
Work well with other departments, including Production.
Be present during all trials
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Two to four years related experience or equivalent.
Knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and Word
Acute attention to detail
Knowledge of Laboratories, GLP, and GMP
Forklift license
Excellent at conflict resolution and interpersonal skills
