Group Details
The credit trading division is responsible for maintaining and enhancing Tradeweb’s critical credit trading systems. Our mission is to ensure seamless, automated, and performant credit trading operations. As part of this high-impact team, you’ll collaborate closely with both product and engineering teams to ensure that our systems meet the highest quality standards. You will be joining a brand-new QA automation group and will enjoy greenfield opportunities to help define how we approach automated testing.
Tradeweb Technology jobs are fully remote. The Tradeweb Technology hub is located in our Jersey City office which can be used for team meetings and collaboration efforts. There may be days where travel to the Jersey City office is recommended for organizational off-sites.
Role Overview
We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer with a strong engineering mindset and at least 3 years of experience writing automated performance tests for complex distributed systems as well as using end-to-end test automation frameworks such as Cypress or Playwright. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Python and capable of setting up automated test infrastructures in staging environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for complex distributed systems that test the performance of those systems under load
Design, develop, and maintain automated end-to-end test suites from scratch using Playwright
Analyze product requirements and write comprehensive automated tests in Python
Set up and maintain automated testing infrastructure in a staging environment
Collaborate with development and product teams to ensure seamless integration of test automation in CI/CD pipelines
Identify, document, and troubleshoot issues through testing phases, and track their resolution
Provide detailed reporting on test outcomes and collaborate with engineering teams to enhance product quality
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience with automated functional and performance testing
Proficiency in Python or similar
Experience setting up automated test environments
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail
Experience with version control systems (Git, etc.) and Agile methodologies
Previous experience working in a fast-paced engineering environment
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
Nice to Have
Experience in financial or trading systems, especially high-frequency trading
Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker
Knowledge of SQL and experience analyzing database results to validate test outcomes

The current pay range for this role if performed in the city of New York is currently $ to $ per year, based on a regular, full-time schedule. The amount of pay offered will be determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to qualifications, market data, geographic location, and internal guidelines.
