PRIMARY FUNCTION
Applies comprehensive technical knowledge to ensure quality assurance protocols and procedures are fully implemented and executed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Create quality measurements to track improvement in product
Execute quality improvement testing and activities
Develop quality assurance standards and company processes
Adhere to industry quality and safety standards
Ensure products meet customer expectations and demand
Create reports documenting errors and issues for fixing
Work closely with the development team to improve existing products
Maintain standards for reliability and performance of production
Support customer required audits
Evaluate root cause and corrective action responses
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will not have any direct reports
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Skill using Microsoft Office Suite; intermediate level skills with MS Project or other project scheduling related software required.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write detailed reports and correspondence
Ability to brief multi-functional audiences
Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff.
Will also routinely interact with external contacts such as customers, vendors, suppliers, shipping companies, etc.
Must be trustworthy – will handle confidential information routinely
Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, etc.
Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data and consider decision impact across multiple areas.
Strong decision analysis and problem-solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions. Must be able to communicate issues to management and regulatory agencies
Ability to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to goals.
Ability to perform basic mathematical computations, detect unobvious facts and issues, and exercise resourcefulness in resolving problems.
Must be able to work independently and stay on task with minimal supervision
Ability to multi-task and stay on target with meeting milestones and goals
Experience with warehousing best practices
Experience with Lean Six Sigma tools is a plus
Familiar with government contracting terminology
Accustomed with working in a represented workforce environment
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical field or; High School Diploma or Equivalent with minimum of 3 years’ experience
Previous government contracting experience managing a multi-million-dollar budget
Ability to pass a drug and background screening
Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
