PURPOSE:
This role focuses on managing and supporting suppliers to stabilize production processes, ensuring quality standards. Responsibilities include monitoring defects, implementing process tracking systems, conducting root cause analyses, and collaborating on corrective actions to improve performance and efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
On-site management and support of the supplier to stabilize and improve production processes to maintain quality standards
Monitor and analyze defect trends, ensuring timely corrective actions are implemented
Implementation of a system for recording process parameters to ensure consistency in the extrusion process
Preparation of regular Documentation and reporting of process parameters and quality metrics
Ensure the implementation of quality control measures, including inspections, audits, and process verifications
Verification of compliance with measurement plans for dimensional inspection of parts
Conducting root cause analyses to identify weaknesses in production processes
Development and implementation of countermeasures and corrective actions to improve supplier performance
Supporting the supplier in implementing and tracking corrective actions (PDCA, LOP)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Completed studies in engineering, quality management, or a comparable field
Several years of experience in supplier management, production planning, and quality control, preferably in the automotive sector
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Solid knowledge of process control, quality assurance, and production optimization
Experience in applying and implementing problem-solving methods such as PDCA and LOP
Independent and solution-oriented working style as well as strong communication and teamwork skills
High resilience and willingness to work in a dynamic environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs
Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices
