Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our suppliers meet the highest quality standards, contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing processes. This position requires strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of quality systems, and the ability to work collaboratively with suppliers to drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement quality assurance processes for supplier evaluation and selection.
Conduct Supplier Audits and assess compliance with ISO standards.
Collaborate with sourcing teams to ensure alignment on quality expectations during the procurement process.
Perform root cause analysis on quality issues and lead corrective action initiatives with suppliers.
Monitor supplier performance metrics and provide feedback for improvement.
Maintain documentation related to quality control processes and supplier management activities.
Support training initiatives for suppliers regarding quality standards and best practices.
Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience in supplier management, quality control, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles is advantageous.
Proficient in using ERP systems for tracking supplier performance data.
Strong understanding of quality systems and methodologies, including ISO standards.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis techniques and SPC
Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
