General Scope of Responsibility:
To assist the Quality Manager and all other personnel in the administration of the Quality Management System and Purchasing.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Perform Various Audits and Reviews:
§ Review check sheet notices of SPC Subscription Alert
§ Store daily production sample retains.
§ Conduct internal audits as required by audit coordinator.
§ Perform daily Shipping LVT audits.
§ Perform random product audits
§ Review and process incoming material certifications (COA’s) (including statistical analysis).
§ Update LPA schedule weekly.
Support Program Management Activity
§ Assist with product launch support.
§ Assist with capability testing.
§ Assist with PFMEA, Control Plan and developing check sheets and work instructions.
Maintain Control Over Customer Complaint Activity
§ Facilitate internal/external sorts/inspection and prepare immediate response documents for customer concerns.
§ Maintain DMR hold area daily through Plex Rejection Tracking Module. Facilitate action until product disposition is completed.
§ Assist in problem solving/corrective action.
§ Update Fast Response information daily.
§ Fill in for Quality Manager in their absences (Morning meeting, plant, and customer issues. etc.)
§ Issue and follow up on Supplier PCRs as needed.
§ Set up Returns to Suppliers as needed.
Perform Calibrations and Maintain Records
§ Conduct and analyze R&R studies (linearity, stability, etc.).
§ Perform equipment calibrations at prescribed intervals and maintain gage records.
§ Obtain quotes and process gages requiring an outside source for calibration.
§ Maintain quality training records.
§ Update the OEE charts daily.
§ Update Lean Score Card for # LPA non-conformances and Audits completed.
Perform Assigned Purchasing & Other Activities
§ Generate purchase orders.
§ File invoices that are received in.
§ Maintains office supplies inventory.
§ Retain CPAC regulation forms that pertains to outside independent contractors.
§ Keep updated proof of insurance, manifest & licenses for suppliers.
§ Keep Safety Data Sheets (SDS) records up to date on the database.
§ Assist with incoming telephone calls and greet visitors.
§ Processes mail

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Work Experience, etc.):
Minimum [Must have to be considered for the position]:
§ High School Diploma or equivalent.
§ At least one (1) year of experience with the quality systems of a plant.
§ Experience or training with computers using word processing, spreadsheet, or statistical applications.
§ Ability to handle frequent interruptions.
§ Ability to maintain close attention to detail and accuracy.
Desired [Will provide job holder with added skill(s) to perform duties]:
§ Possess a working knowledge of statistical methods.
§ Possess a working knowledge of the Corporate and plant level IATF16949 procedures.
HUMAN RELATIONS:
The Quality Technician must interface daily with people in a variety of positions and, therefore, must demonstrate good communication skills and the ability to deal with people in a positive manner.
REQUIRED PHYSICAL / MENTAL ABILITIES:
Sitting, standing, and/or walking for periods of five hours or more, finger dexterity, moving and examining objects at high and low reach, near and far vision, reading for periods of three hours or more. Must be able to frequently lift 20 and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to occasionally climb stairs and ladders. Must be able to navigate various departments of the organization’s physical premises.
Written and oral expression and comprehension skills, analytical thinking, inductive and deductive reasoning, and mathematical reasoning.
Environmental conditions include dusty, noisy environments with occasional varying temperatures.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 – $45,000.00 per year
