Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Quality Manager to support the continuous and efficient operation of our plastics manufacturing facility, supporting over 140 staff members. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and improving quality systems as well as support and enhancing the quality culture of the business. Experience in plastics processing technologies is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

Support and develop the culture that Quality is an integral part of our day-to-day operations in all aspects of our business. You must develop the existing culture of quality amongst your team, management and supervisors across the site and reinforce the expectation that quality systems are part of everyone’s role.

You will manage and develop internal and external customer relationships to manage projects and issues across the site building consensus with various functions within the business.

You will manage and delegate (as appropriate) product complaint investigations ensuring a feedback loop is responsive to all stakeholders, especially customers.

Supports audits and inspections

Ensuring that the organisation is fully complaint with standards set

Mentor and coach the existing quality team to develop and support them.

Works across various departments and organisations like suppliers, Operations, Engineering, logistics to lead investigations for supplier quality issues and works on improvements in quality.

Identify training requirements for staff at all levels to support the Quality system and the Quality culture of the site

Requirements:

Education & Qualifications:

Degree or diploma in a relevant field, however, this role may also suit someone who has a number of years’ experience in quality in plastics or a related field

Evidence of upskilling would be advantageous

Experience:

Minimum [3–5] years of quality experience in the plastics and/or manufacturing sector.

Strong knowledge of Quality systems

Experience with Lean manufacturing would be a plus.

Skills:

Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Ability to read and interpret compliance documents for organisational use.

Good organisational and communication skills.

Proficiency in using QMS and Microsoft Office Suite.
