Aegis Worldwide is proud to be partnered with a leading food manufacturing company in the Versailles, OH area that specializes in high-quality, ready-to-cook and fully-cooked meat products distributed to customers across the U.S. — including schools, hospitals, stadiums, and more. With a strong reputation for product consistency and team-oriented values, they’re now looking to grow their leadership team by adding a 2nd Shift Quality Supervisor.
**Responsibilities: **
Overseeing the resolution of customer and product quality concerns, ensuring timely documentation and follow-up.
Serving as a key point of contact for customer and vendor communications regarding product quality and compliance.
Reviewing, validating, and organizing daily QA and HACCP documentation for internal compliance and audits.
Preparing for and participating in third-party food safety audits and certification processes.
Acting as the primary liaison with USDA inspectors to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
Collaborating with production managers and team leads to maintain product standards and address quality issues.
Supervising QA leads and technicians, ensuring their roles are performed according to company policies and industry standards.
Leading training sessions for QA team members on food safety protocols, documentation procedures, and best practices.
Inspecting packaging to ensure proper sealing, labeling accuracy, and absence of tampering or contamination.
Monitoring product packaging for inconsistencies, potential hazards, or non-conformities.
Managing product quality issues, including labeling errors, foreign material concerns, and final product disposition decisions.
Conducting performance evaluations and providing oversight for QA staff in line with role expectations.
Responding to inquiries and inspections from regulatory bodies and government agencies.
Ensuring pest control activities and documentation are in alignment with food safety standards.
Overseeing all pathogen monitoring and microbiological testing protocols.
Drafting, updating, and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to food safety and QA.
Ensuring compliance with SQF, FDA, USDA, and company-specific food safety policies.
Conducting regular walkthroughs and surveillance related to food defense and security initiatives.
Supporting corrective actions, coaching, and disciplinary measures for QA team members when necessary.
**Qualifications: **
2+ years of leadership experience in food manufacturing or regulated production
✅ Proven experience leading teams of 15+ (QA techs, operators, etc.)
✅ Hands-on leadership style — someone comfortable jumping in and supporting when needed
✅ Familiarity with FDA or other food safety regulations
✅ Ability to work cross-functionally with production and maintenance teams
✅ Prior technical experience (QA tech or machine operator) is a strong plus
