We are working with a development business who are looking to appoint an experienced Quality Manager ( construction background) to work alongside the project team on a GBP110m project in North London.
Roles & Responsibilities
Establishing and implementing QA policies, procedures, and standards that align with company best practices.
Quality Planning: Developing quality plans for the project, including defining quality criteria, inspection and testing protocols, and quality assurance checkpoints.
Quality Control: Overseeing the execution of quality control processes throughout the construction project lifecycle, including monitoring workmanship, materials, and compliance with specifications.
Provide training and guidance to construction teams on quality assurance processes, standards, and best practices to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Risk Management: Identifying potential quality risks and developing strategies to mitigate them, such as conducting risk assessments, implementing preventive measures, and addressing issues promptly.
Quality Inspections and Audits: Conducting regular inspections, audits, and quality reviews of construction activities, processes, and deliverables to verify compliance with quality standards and contractual requirements.
Document Control: Managing documentation related to quality assurance activities, including maintaining records of inspections, test results, non–conformities, corrective actions, and quality assurance reports.
Non–Conformance Management: Investigating non–conformities, defects, and quality issues, and leading efforts to implement corrective and preventive actions to address root causes and prevent recurrence.
Collaboration and Communication: Collaborating with project managers, engineers, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on quality objectives, requirements, and expectations. Facilitating clear and effective communication regarding quality–related matters.
Continuous Improvement: Monitoring quality performance metrics, analysing data trends, and identifying opportunities for process improvements and quality enhancements across projects.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant building codes, standards, regulations, and industry certifications applicable to construction projects.
Required
Extensive experience operating in a QA role in the Construction industry, ideally with a Residential Developer / Main Contractor with a residential element.
Ability to produce Quality Management Plans and enforce them.
Highly experienced in ASite software.
On offer is a basic salary of GBP50,000 per annum plus package including car allowance of GBP5,000, pension, healthcare, 25 days annual leave plus other benefits.
