We are working exclusively with a leading chilled food manufacturer that supply a range of products to retailers across the UK. They are looking to appoint experienced and proactive Quality professional as Quality Manager at their large facility in Hertfordshire

On offer:

£45,000 – £50,000

The role:

Lead and manage the quality team.

Train staff on quality standards, processes, and product specifications.

Develop, implement, and monitor quality control systems and procedures.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness.

Ensure compliance with food safety standards such as HACCP, BRC, and customer-specific protocols.

Support internal and external audits (e.g., BRC, retailer audits).

Oversee daily quality checks of inbound and outbound produce.

Ensure produce meets quality specifications and compliance requirements (customer, retailer, and legislative standards).

Maintain accurate records of inspections, rejections, and corrective actions.

Work closely with procurement, production, warehouse, and commercial teams, and sometimes with suppliers to resolve issues.

Identify and report quality issues or deviations from standards and take corrective actions.

Provide regular quality performance reports and recommend improvements.

Provide input on supplier performance and product specifications.

The candidate:

At least 3 years experience in a Quality Management or Supervisory role in a food manufacturing environment

A Food Science degree is desirable.

HACCP level 3 + and Food Safety level 3 +

Excellent working knowledge of BRC.
