Aegis Worldwide is partnered with a leading packaging manufacturer located on the south side of Indianapolis who is seeking a Quality Manager. We are targeting an experienced and dynamic Quality Manager with at least 5 years of management experience in quality control. You will oversee a team of 4 quality assurance professionals, ensuring all products meet high standards of quality and compliance.
The ideal candidate will have industry experience in packaging or food and beverage manufacturing, a proven track record in maintaining quality standards, implementing process improvements, internal and external audits, and ensuring that all operations align with industry regulations and company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of 4 quality control professionals, providing mentorship, training, and performance evaluations.
Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s quality management system (QMS).
Ensure compliance with ISO standards, industry regulations, and client specifications.
Manage quality audits, both internal and external, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Coordinate root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues, ensuring swift resolution to maintain production timelines.
Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality control processes, analyzing data to identify areas of improvement.
Work closely with production, engineering, and other departments to ensure quality standards are met throughout the manufacturing process.
Prepare and present regular reports on quality performance to senior management.
Conduct risk assessments and manage the mitigation of potential quality-related risks.
Ensure the proper documentation of quality-related issues and resolutions in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality management role, with at least 2 years in a leadership position overseeing a team.
Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, etc.), injection or blow molding processes, and regulatory standards.
Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, providing clear direction and support.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and implement corrective actions.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
Six Sigma certification or other quality-related certifications.
Experience with lean manufacturing or other efficiency improvement methodologies.
Previous experience in the plastic manufacturing industry is a plus.
