We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Quality Manager to lead our quality assurance and control initiatives within our manufacturing operations. This pivotal role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining robust quality systems that ensure our products meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and excellence. Responsibilities

  • Formulates and maintains quality system objectives and coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other department managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
  • Serves as liaison with other departments in the preparation and completion of PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) for new automotive products.
  • Certifies products to customer specifications. Issues certificates of compliance to customers.
  • Coordinates and serves as point of contact for compiling, synthesizing, and produces all documentation relating to the Company’s key measures (KM’3). Uses statistical methods and data analysis to track and trend quality objectives.
  • Develops, applies, and maintains quality standards for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials supporting Braid, Weaving, and Wire. Performs “root cause analysis” in identifying quality issues and implements corrective/preventive action including securing third party sorting if necessary.
  • Manages and ensures full compliance with TS16949, processes including quality manual, work instructions, policies, and work procedures. Modifies policies and procedures accordingly. Coordinates, manages, and conducts compliance audits as it relates to audit schedules and internal procedures. Ensures all open issues are resolved and corrective actions are implemented.
  • Proposes and oversees all Company continuous improvement objectives.
  • Supervises Quality Technician and Quality Assurance/Regulatory Affairs Specialist in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous quality control over materials, facilities, and products. Negotiates “outside technical testing when required.
  • Participates in new product launching including design review to ensure customer requirements.
  • Completes all appropriate documentation required by Engineering in supporting document control.
  • Estimates and calculates the cost of quality. Issues cost reports to managers.
  • Performs other duties as requested.
  • Overall awareness and understanding that Hope Global operates within the EMS 14001 & QMS 16949 management systems.
  • Additional training over the course of the employee’s tenure will be given as needed or required and in accordance with the criteria specified in ESP7.2/QSP 7.2.1Training Awareness and Competence.

Experience

The incumbent must have a four-year degree from a college or university or a combination of education and experience. In addition, five (5) to seven (7) years’ work in manufacturing quality assurance is needed within a manufacturing environment. Knowledge and experience are needed in the requirements for TS 16949.

  • Automotive expertise and through knowledge of APQP and PPAP processes.
  • Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing role with a strong focus on quality management systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in conducting quality audits, inspections, and implementing ISO 9001 or ISO standards within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams with excellent communication skills to promote a unified approach toward quality excellence.
  • Project management experience with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $89,555.04 – $95,378.11 per year
