Purpose
Manage all Quality-related activities, including the use of Quality-related knowledge, tools and techniques across the organization.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES
Quality Management
Supervise to maintain, regularly review and update as required the quality management system.
Manage the daily activities of Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) team(s) in support of manufacturing and/or procurement activities.
Ensure that Nonconformance Report (NCRs) are reported, investigated, and closed as per the prevailing procedure.
Leads regular analysis of available Quality data using applicable quality tools, to enable procurement and manufacturing teams to take informed decision based on available data.
Promote and lead the usage of applicable quality tools within the organization – such as the 7 basic quality tool, statistical quality tools etc.
Ensures the prevailing quality business systems and ERP (such as Oracle Fusion and GEARS) are utilized as per their intended purposes and lead the effort to improve them.
Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
Promote the implementation and adherence to Quality policies, processes and operating procedures to others within APC.
Health, Safety and Environment
Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
Leads by example – in term of reporting, conducting audit etc. Accountable for the compliance of the team to all applicable HSE policies, standards, and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge and Experience
10 years of experience in relevant area is required.
Good written and spoken English, with the ability to read and understand technical instructions, produce routine reports and correspondence, write/update procedures and interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
Ability to lead the team in audits conducted by third party, such as customers and certification bodies (such as ISO and API)
Practical experience in an organization carrying API Q1/Q2 and/or ISO9001 certification.
Practical experience in leading the use across organizations of statistical quality tools
Education and Certifications
Bachelor (or higher) Degree in any Science/Engineering discipline
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer/Manager (or equivalent) highly preferable
Certified auditor certification
Six Sigma Green Belt Certification – Preferred
