A leading packaging company with over 50 years of experience is seeking a passionate and dedicated Food Safety & Quality Manager (PCQI).
This role will oversee the implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of Food Safety and Defense requirements across multiple facilities.
This well-established packaging provider has been serving multiple industries, including e-commerce, food, automotive, and cosmetics. With operations in multiple U.S. locations, they offer a collaborative environment and a commitment to quality.
Responsibilities:
Manage the Food Defense Program
Ensure adherence to Master Cleaning Schedule (MCS) and cGMP/Quality requirements
Maintain AIB certification with a minimum score of 965
Ensure compliance with social responsibility requirements
Communicate improvement suggestions and findings with Food Safety and QA Supervisor
Maintain chemical control and approved chemical list
Develop and implement internal audit schedules
Train staff on policies and procedures
Conduct Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Plans
Actively participate in daily staff meetings and Safety Committee
Maintain First Aid certification and perform emergency drills
Ensure adherence to Safety Rules and accident investigations
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
3-5 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of OSHA, Workman’s Comp, and Safety Programs
Experience with Quality Assurance (RCAs, ISO, AIB, SQF)
Familiarity with Continuous Improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma)
Proficient in WMS, MS Office, and file management
Ability to work flexible hours, minimal travel
Base Pay Range:
$65,000.00/yr – $70,000.00/yr
