Noor Midelt Solar Hybrid 1 Company is the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) established to develop, construct, own and operate the Noor Midelt Solar Hybrid 1 Project. The company is led by a consortium comprising EDF Power Solutions and Masdar and is responsible for delivering a 633 MWp Solar PV power plant integrated with a 1,324 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Midelt, Kingdom of Morocco.
Job purpose
To ensure the quality of the assigned projects throughout the construction and commissioning phases. This includes monitoring and controlling quality control plans, conducting inspections, and resolving quality issues, furthermore, working with project stakeholders to ensure that the project meets all quality requirements
Key accountabilities
❖ Lead the quality at the construction sites:
o Monitor and control quality management plans for the projects.
o Conduct inspections of solar projects to ensure compliance with quality standards and resolve quality issues and defects.
o Work with project stakeholders to ensure that the project meets all quality requirements.
o Ensure document quality assurance and control activities and maintain quality records and reports.
o Represent the owner’s interests during the project and provide guidance and support to the project team.
o Stay up to date on the latest quality management practices.
❖ Implement document management controls
o Ensure the development and maintenance of policies, processes, procedures for document management (jointly with divisions and corporate units) and ensure that all related documents and document management controls are maintained and up to date at all times to maintain adherence to the company-wide standards.
❖ Manage stakeholder relations relevant to Quality assurance and quality control
o Identify and understand the needs and expectations of all stakeholders. This includes understanding the different perspectives of stakeholders, their level of involvement in the project, and their influence on the project’s success.
o Communicate effectively with stakeholders. This includes providing regular updates on the project’s progress, addressing concerns, and resolving issues.
o Involve project stakeholders in the quality assurance and quality control processes.
o Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
❖ Management reporting
o Ensure that all relevant reports are completed in a comprehensive, accurate and timely manner, and comply with international principles of corporate governance and standards, and shareholder requirements.
❖ Compliance with information security policies, procedures and requirements at all times
o Adhere to any applicable company information security policies and procedures and identify and report security incidents and suspected weaknesses to the appropriate point(s) of contact.
o Protect assets under care (e.g. laptops and other devices) and information/credentials against unauthorized access, sharing, and/or damage/loss, in accordance with the Information Classification and Handling Procedure.
o Clear desks of all sensitive material and log off/ lock workstations at the end of the day and when leaving desk for a prolonged period in accordance with Acceptable Usage Policies.
o Ensure not installing, copying or modifying any software on company equipment without authorization.
❖ Support Quality Health and Safety Environment (QHSE) activities, policies and objectives of the company and compliance with the laws and regulations of the country where the projects are located.
o This includes participating (when requested) in QHSE audits, office inductions, incident reporting and review of QHSE performances as applicable.
❖ Preferred Qualifications:
o Bachelor’s degree in quality, engineering or related discipline
o Master’s degree is a plus
❖ Preferred Experience:
o 6 – 7 years of experience in the quality field, and a proven track record in managing the refinement and implementation of quality standards.
o Solid experience in a similar role as Quality Manager.
❖ Job-Specific Skills:
o Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills lead to a consultative approach within a corporate/ multifunctional / multicultural environment
o Strong understanding of the complexity and challenges of driving/building a project delivery culture
o Excellent knowledge of ISO9001 and corresponding requirements
o ISO 9001 internal auditor certification
o Experience with Root Cause Analysis tools and techniques (Fishbone, 5 Whys, FMEAs, etc)
o Experience with Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) methodology
o Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO14001 is a plus
o Excellent French language
o Excellent English language
