Technical Business Analyst / Quality Assurance

EAI is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Business Analyst/Quality Assurance to join our team. In this role, the individual will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software solutions through rigorous testing, data analysis, and Tier 3 product support. You will act as the go-to expert for data-level troubleshooting, collaborate with developers and stakeholders to resolve technical challenges, and support business analysis efforts to align development with customer needs. The ideal candidate has a strong background in software testing, SQL, and problem-solving, with a keen ability to bridge technical and business requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

Testing & Validation

Design, implement, and execute test plans to validate software changes.

Ensure high-quality software releases by identifying, documenting, and resolving defects.

Perform thorough regression testing for new and existing functionality.

Data Expertise

Act as the go-to expert for data-level troubleshooting and analysis.

Write and optimize SQL queries to validate data integrity and performance.

Collaborate with developers to resolve database-related issues.

Tier 3 Product Support (~30%)

Provide Tier 3 support for products, addressing escalated issues from Tier 2 support.

Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to software, data, and deployments.

Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to implement long-term solutions for recurring issues.

Business Analysis

Gather, document, and analyze technical requirements to ensure alignment with development goals.

Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize features and enhancements.

Translate technical concepts into business-friendly language and vice versa.

Problem Solving

Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across development, testing, and production environments.

Continuously identify areas for improvement in processes and tools.

Other Duties

Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies.

Provide training and documentation for internal teams.

Support cross-functional collaboration between development, operations, and business teams.

Additional duties and roles as needed/as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

3-5 years of technical experience.

Experience in agriculture and/or bulk material handling is a plus.

Experience with 3rd party integrations (ex. accounting software) is a plus.

Proven experience in software testing and validation.

Strong SQL skills (3+ years hands on experience), including query writing, optimization, and troubleshooting.

Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP, etc.) and best practices.

Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Knowledge of Agile development methodologies is a plus.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

This position has the potential to be based out of our Welcome, Mankato, or Edina, MN locations, with the opportunity for hybrid work after a training period. Must be based in/near southern Minnesota or the Twin Cities metro area.

Salary Range: $90,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year based on experience.
