Job Summary
A locally owned, high-mix metal component manufacturer is in search of a Quality Manager to lead process improvement in their Rochester-based facility. The QM is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive quality management system to ensure that products and services meet internal and external quality standards. This role leads quality assurance efforts, drives continuous improvement, and ensures compliance with relevant regulations and certifications.

Responsibilities
Ability to lead the organization through ISO certification, etc.
Implementation of quality systems and use of metrics to drive corrective action.
Leadership of the engineers and the inspection department.
Knowledge of quality best practices, lean manufacturing, outside manufacturing processes, and supplier certifications, sheet metal fabrication.
Develop and implement quality management systems, policies, and procedures.
Oversee daily operations of the quality department.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and customer requirements.
Lead audits (internal and external), corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and risk assessments.
Monitor and report on quality performance, including KPIs and metrics.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, production, supply chain) to resolve quality issues.
Manage quality inspections, testing protocols, and documentation.
Train staff on quality standards and continuous improvement practices.
Drive root cause analysis and process improvement initiatives using tools like Six Sigma, Lean, or 8D.
Serve as the primary contact for customer and regulatory quality concerns.
