TIGHITCO, Inc. is an industry leader in the design, fabrication, and assembly of engineered components for aerospace and industrial applications. TIGHITCO is comprised of three divisions – Complex Composite Structures, Insulation Products, and Overhaul Support Services, supported by five facilities located throughout North America. Responsibilities

Plans, coordinates, and directs quality program designed to ensure quality control and quality assurance of the production of products consistent with established standards.

Formulates and maintains quality objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.

Interprets quality philosophy to key personnel in organization.

Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.

Plans and oversees the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component.

Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements.

Serves as Management Representative for the Company’s Quality Management System and as point of contact for customer communications involving quality-related issues.

Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate processes and changes.

Decides whether to accept a product or continue business with a vendor based on a review by the quality assurance engineer.

Reviews all data obtained during quality control and assurance activities for consistency with company policies and procedures.

Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality activities.

Keeps management team informed of significant issues or developments identified during quality activities.

Prepares and presents technical and program information to the management team.

Directs workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.

Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality codes and standards.

Plays an active role on quality management teams within the organization.

Designs and implements quality training programs for key personnel in conjunction with managers.

Investigates and adjusts customer complaints regarding quality.
