Leading aerospace manufacturer is seeking a highly motivated Quality Manager who plans, conducts and coordinate activities concerned with the
quality assurance
of industrial processes, materials and products used on a wide range of commercial and military aircraft. Individual will direct a
quality assurance
program designed to ensure quality production of products consistent with established standards by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
include the following. Formulates and maintains
quality assurance
objectives complementary tocorporate policies and goals Interprets
quality assurance
philosophy to key personnel inorganization. Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manualsand company quality records.
Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.
Decides whether to accept a product or continue business with a vendorbased on a review by the
quality assurance
engineer.
Reviews all data obtained during all
quality assurance
activities toensure consistency with company policies and procedures.
Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities.
Keeps management team abreast of significant issues or developmentsidentified during
quality assurance
activities and actions being takento improve the
and presents technical and program information to the management team.
Directs technical and administrative workers engaged in quality assurance activities.
Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.
Plays an active role on quality management teams within
company compliance to AS-9100 Quality requirements.
Maintains company processes to ensure compliance to FAA
technical guidance during product qualification process.
Senior member of Material Review Board (MRB) responsible for
both internal and external audit requirements.
Supports responses to customer generated corrective action requests.
Provides support to assembly and shop for issues with materialnonconformance’s.Develops and implements productivity improvements.
Manages department expenses to established budgets Develops requirements for tooling and support equipment.
Provides training plan for company personnel to maintain assemblycapabilities.
Manages personnel to ensure proper coverage of all areas of responsibility.
Responsible for our FAA and EASA certifications for the Repair
and implements
quality assurance
training programs to key personnel in conjunction with managers.
Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervises Quality Engineers and
Quality Control
Lead. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing ,hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelors degree and four to ten years of relate management experience
