Quality Manager – Automotive Parts Manufacturer
A global automotive parts manufacturing company is currently seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join their facility in the Bluffton OH area.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership experience in the manufacturing industry and will be able to oversee product quality initiatives, as well as ensure all quality standards throughout the development and manufacturing processes. This is a full-time and direct hire position.
Quality Manager Responsibilities Include:
Develop and implement quality department procedures, standards, and process improvements
Oversee product quality assurance; lead investigations into quality issues and determine causes and solutions
Participate in the interviewing, hiring, and training of employees
Ensure that products and manufacturing processes are meeting customer, industry, and governmental standards
Creation of PPAP, APQP, and other quality documentation
Plan and conduct quality/process audits
Act as point of contact for customers’ quality issues, questions, etc.
Lead daily and weekly team meetings for managers and supervisors
Other duties as assigned
Quality Manager Requirements Include:
Bachelor’s degree in an Industrial or Engineering field preferred
Minimum 5-7 years of supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment
ASQ CQE certification preferred but not required
Familiarity with PPAP/APQP documentation, ISO standards, 8
Ds/5 Whys, etc.
Strong communication and leadership ability in a multicultural environment
Good time management skills and multitasking ability in a fast-paced environment
Good computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
This position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear.
You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
