Job Summary:
The Quality Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the quality management system. This role involves ensuring that products and processes meet the highest standards of quality, and driving a culture of quality throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong attention to detail and a passion for quality.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s quality management system (QMS).
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
Conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of the QMS.
Manage and lead a team of quality assurance professionals.
Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Work closely with other departments, including production, engineering, and sales, to ensure quality standards are met.
Oversee the inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
Address customer complaints and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
Prepare and present quality reports to management.
Qualifications:
Previous experience managing employees and quality processes in a machine shop setting.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., engineering, quality management).
Proven experience as a Quality Manager in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools.
