About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager with a strong background in plastics manufacturing or flexible packaging to join a dynamic and growing operation in NW Houston. This leadership role is responsible for driving quality initiatives, leading a team, and ensuring compliance with industry standards while working directly with clients to support their quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions across the manufacturing floor.
Ensure compliance with internal procedures and industry regulations (ISO, GMP, etc.).
Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
Utilize data analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Microsoft Power BI or Excel) to monitor product performance and process stability.
Serve as the primary quality contact for key customers, managing quality audits, CAPAs, and ongoing client communications.
Foster a culture of quality and accountability across production teams.
Lead and mentor a team of quality professionals, providing training and performance management.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain to ensure alignment on quality objectives.
Champion Six Sigma and lean methodologies to improve processes and reduce waste.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum 5+ years of experience in a Quality Management role within plastics manufacturing or flexible packaging.
Six Sigma Black Belt certification required.
Bilingual – Spanish/English required.
Proven experience in leading a quality team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong client-facing experience and the ability to communicate effectively with external partners.
Advanced knowledge of quality systems, root cause analysis tools, and statistical process control.
Strong data skills and proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or similar platforms.
