Position Responsibilities
This individual is responsible for quality assurance and quality control in all phases of construction at a project site. Travel is a requirement of this position.
Provide on-site inspection and documentation to ensure that all construction is completed in accordance with the design and quality control and/or assembly manual supplied by the manufacturer as well as IEA Field Quality Control Plan.
Develop and implement software for material inventory tracking management. Software and implementation plan must comply with Owner’s Specifications, meet IEA internal Quality assurance standards, and provide concise product placement records.
Deal daily with project management, engineers, concrete suppliers, concrete testing labs, steel and turbine manufacturers concerning site issues, inconsistencies, and non-conformances.
Direct and train skilled labor in various procedures.
Read and understand shop drawings, mix designs, geotechnical reports, turbine manuals, and engineered drawings.
Possess knowledge of reinforcement and concrete placement, product testing, and civil construction processes.
Liaise with clients, regulatory agencies, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and internal departments on quality-related matters.
Manage quality technicians during construction.
Perform various duties as assigned by the Director of Quality.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in construction management or quality control.
Position Requirements
Minimum of 2 years in construction or renewable energy, specifically solar energy.
Must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future.
Training
On-the-job, compliance, and safety training.
