Job Responsibilities

This role is accountable for end to end Quality Assurance for Wellbeing Collective products in Canada, covering both innovation delivery and post launch market quality, while ensuring full compliance with Health Canada GMP expectations and Unilever Quality Standards. The role also has line management responsibility for a temporary Quality Specialist, ensuring operational continuity, workload balance, and execution of day to day quality activities in the Canadian market.

Key Responsibilities Quality & Compliance (Canada Market Ownership)

  • Own and ensure Health Canada GMP and NHP quality compliance for all WBC products commercialized in Canada.
  • Act as QA lead for market readiness, ensuring all quality deliverables (release, stability, specs, ICQA, CC) are completed and approved prior to launch.
  • Lead post launch quality oversight, including complaints management, investigations, market deviations, concessions, and risk assessment.
  • Ensure consumer/ customer complaints are handled with speed for closure. Coordinated with various supplying sites/ OpCos for fact based and logical reply to the consumer.
  • Maintain and improve Canadian QMS performance, audits, self assessments, and compliance indicators.

Innovation & Change Management

  • Lead and contribute the geo-expansion projects for Canada as per the business growth aspirations.
  • Collaborate with the US supplying operating companies and contract manufacturers externally (within Canada and overseas) for quality relates matters including Quality Control activities, food safety, compliance, and drive to resolve them with logical conclusion.
  • Provide QA leadership for innovation, renovation, and change control activities, aligned with WBC and global Quality governance.
  • Ensure Technical Transfer, ICQA, Change Controls, and Stability strategies are robust, compliant, and delivered OTIF.
  • Partner with Global QA, R&D, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and external CMs/laboratories to enable speed to market without increasing risk.

People Leadership & Operational Management

  • Directly manage a temporary Quality Coordinator (contractor) supporting Canadian quality activities.
  • Define priorities, delegate tasks, review deliverables, and provide technical guidance to ensure quality execution and compliance.
  • Ensure continuity of operations during periods of high project volume and critical launches.
  • Coach and develop quality capability within the Canada scope, even within a temporary resource model.

Systems & Ways of Working

  • Own deployment and effective usage of Quality One (Veeva) for Canada related NCRs, CCs, investigations, and documentation.
  • Drive harmonization between global WBC quality processes and local Canadian requirements, ensuring clarity of responsibilities across functions.
  • Identify opportunities for process simplification, standardization, and efficiency gains.

Stakeholder Management & Leadership

  • Act as the primary Quality point of contact for Canada within Wellbeing IE.
  • Provide clear, risk based quality recommendations to senior stakeholders and decision boards.
  • Train and educate cross functional teams on Quality, GMP, and Health Canada expectations.
  • Represent Quality in governance, escalation, and business decision forums.
