Job Purpose:
The primary purpose of this position is to work with the Quality Assurance Manager to ensure Lucideon’s compliance with industry standards and client requirements. The individual will review test reports and calibration certificates, and lead root cause, corrective and preventative action investigations. This position requires the use of information which is subject to Export Controls Regulations and the candidate must be able to participate in Export Controlled work.
Core responsibilities include:
Ensure compliance with Lucideon’s Quality Assurance program, ISO 17025, NQA-1 and Nadcap standards, as well as quality-related contractual requirements.
Create and maintain quality related procedures and documents to support implementation of the quality management system.
Perform training as needed to support these efforts, and assist with continuous improvement activities.
Identify and review non-conformances and corrective actions ensuring that effective root cause, corrective and preventative actions are implemented.
Work collaboratively with engineering and commercial teams to meet delivery plans and schedules.
Manage calibration systems, competency testing and proficiency testing.
Audit suppliers and internal processes, and assists with the management of audit systems.
Prepare metrics, reports, presentation, etc, as required.
Follow ES&H requirements via good housekeeping.
Perform tasks and other duties as assigned
Key Person Qualifications & Experience
4 year bachelor’s degree in engineering, materials science, physical sciences or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years working experience in an industrial or scientific environment.
Key Skills & Qualities
Ability to effectively analyze situations and recommend improvements, think critically and solve problems.
Ability to prepare and maintain records and reports.
Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadline.
Ability to review and communicate the requirements of engineering drawings, technical specifications and client documentation.
Ability to successfully operate as part of a multi-functional team, including engineering, program management, commercial and finance.
Knowledge of ISO 17025, 9001, AS9100 or equivalent quality standard(s).
Knowledge of basic science and engineering principles with experience in mechanical engineering, materials engineering or chemistry.
Microsoft Office and laboratory management software skills.
