ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive FSQA Auditor to join our team at Ideal Nutrition, a growing meal delivery company specializing in ready-to-eat meals. The FSQA Auditor will play a critical role in ensuring that all food safety and quality standards are met or exceeded, supporting compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining our commitment to delivering safe high-quality products to our customers. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor production processes to verify adherence to food safety protocols, including HACCP, GMPs, Allergens, and sanitation procedures.
Perform pre-operational and operational inspection of equipment as described in the SSOP program.
Perform environmental monitoring swabbing for ATP, TVC, TCC, and Listeria.
Perform temperature monitoring checks of WIP and finished products, to include both cooking and cooling stages of operations.
Perform finished product sensory evaluation checks.
Conduct verification checks for metal detection, net weights, labels, and lot codes.
Inspect & appropriately isolate non-conforming products during all stages of the operation and work with FSQA Manager to determine corrective actions
Conduct routine inspections and audits of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of food safety checks, quality checks, audits, and compliance activities.
Monitor ingredient storage in coolers and the warehouse to verify the presence of labeling and lot codes, and to prevent allergen cross-contamination.
Conduct pre-shipment review of all operations in area of responsibility.
Verify compliance with all standard operating procedures within the food safety and quality realm.
Collect data for validation studies.
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Knowledgeable in the following Food Safety concepts.
* Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).
* Sanitation Standard Operation Procedures (SSOP).
* Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
* Environmental Sampling/Swabbing.
* Other pre-requisite programs (i.e. Allergen, Foreign Material, Food Defense).
* Familiarity with regulatory requirements (i.e. Retail Food Code, FDA, USDA, FSMA).
Basic understanding of equipment calibration and troubleshooting measurement tools.
Experience with digital systems for traceability or paper-based logs, including quality management systems (QMS) or ERP software.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
Associate degree (or higher) in microbiology, food science, animal science, or related field required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate across all organization levels within the company.
Solid organizational skills & ability to prioritize tasks.
Strong knowledge of utilizing online software and tablets to collect data.
Expert in English language and communication, both written and spoken. Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred.
HACCP Certification or PCQI Certification required.
Food protection manager certification highly preferred.
Minimum 2 years in USDA food manufacturing environment required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to wear personal protective equipment while performing job.
Must be able to work in hot or cold wet environments.
Must be able to constantly stand, stoop, walk, bend, push or pull for duration of shift, which may last up to 10 hours.
Must have the visual acuity to perform possible pre-op duties and/or read paperwork and labels.
HOURLY PAY – RATE: Starting at $24 an hour, based on experience.
