MRP is searching for a passionate and agile Production Expeditor who considers themselves problem-solvers and are excited by challenges and the opportunity to build something great with us. As a Production Expeditor in the Pressroom Department, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the flow of raw materials and consumables to support efficient department operations. This role includes verifying the accuracy of incoming orders, tracking stock levels, assisting in cost and purchasing processes, and supporting departmental scheduling and training. The Expeditor will work closely with department management to maintain smooth workflow and uphold company standards for safety, cleanliness, and continuous improvement.

What will you do in this role?

A Day in the Life:

Key Responsibilities

Comply with all company safety policies and actively participate in safety initiatives.
Adhere to all company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
Maintain compliance with GMP standards and ISO certifications (ISO 9001, 14001, 22001).
Build and maintain strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials.
Receive and inspect shipments for quantity, quality, and specification accuracy.
Implement and maintain inventory systems such as Kanban and other replenishment tools.
Facilitate the efficient flow of materials between departments.
Review job cost reports and address discrepancies such as mischarges.
Ensure cleanliness and organization of department, warehouse, and storage areas.
Collaborate with management to evaluate supplier performance and resolve procurement issues.
Support department managers in scheduling and coordinating staff training.
Perform administrative tasks, maintain accurate records, and ensure documentation is up-to-date.
Follow established procedures, policies, and operational guidelines.
Lead efforts to implement and sustain Continuous Improvement (CI), 5S, and housekeeping initiatives.
Participate in company-provided quality, safety, and compliance training sessions.

This is a full-time, on-site position Monday through Friday. Specific shift hours will be agreed upon at hiring, however, changes in manufacturing needs and schedules may necessitate a change to the original agreed upon hours, or the working of additional, overtime hours

What does it take to be successful in this role?

Basic Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of procurement, materials handling, and inventory management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational, analytical, and time management abilities.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
Ability to read and write in English and perform basic math for weights, measurements, and costs.

The employee must be able to stand for long periods of time and be able to regularly lift 30 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

This position is located in a manufacturing/production environment and may involve exposure to:

Dust and airborne particles
Elevated noise levels
Industrial odors and chemical smells

Employees must be able to work in these conditions safely and comfortably while adhering to all safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
