Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Laboratory Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for scientific research and laboratory work, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
Responsibilities
Conduct various laboratory tests and procedures under the supervision of senior staff
Prepare samples, specimens, and equipment for testing
Analyze data and interpret results
Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper functioning
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure quality control
Assist in the development of new laboratory techniques and protocols
Requirements
Proficiency in math for accurate calculations
Knowledge of veterinary terminology, microbiology, animal physiology, and histology
Experience working in a research laboratory setting
Ability to analyze data and use Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $24.84 – $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
