Job Summary:
Examine, evaluate, and investigate eligibility for or conformity with export laws and regulations governing contract compliance of licenses and permits, and other compliance and enforcement inspection activities not classified elsewhere. To carry out the Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co. and Bralco Metals export compliance policy. Carries out the AS9100/9120 quality system to ensure continuous processing for product and service consistent with established standards.
It is required to have a keen attention to detail, a strong understanding of quality control principles, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Precision and diligence is required in confirming that all data submitted complies with the required specifications, to ensure the product’s quality and ability to meet product specification.

If the use of arm and/or leg control requires exertion of forces greater than that of sedentary work and if the worker sits most of the time, the job is considered light work. Job Function:
Issue export licenses to customers meeting standards.
Evaluate applications, records, and documents to gather information about eligibility or liability issues.
Advise licensees and other individuals or groups concerning licensing, permit, or passport regulations.
Warn violators of infractions or penalties.
Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, orders, and test report to verify accuracy of shipments.
Prepare documents, such as work orders, test report, loading and shipping bill of ladings, and shipping orders to route materials.
Correspond with appropriate personnel to rectify problems, such as nonconformance to specifications.
SUPPLEMENTAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
All other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.
Required Skills:
0-5 years of relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities required.
High School diploma/GED required.
Understanding of basic concepts and principles pertinent to raw materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective processing and distribution of material required.
Basic understanding of company product(s) and their uses required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
Measurement skills, including taking, converting, and/or using measurements of length, width, height, and weight to perform basic math computations correctly required.
Microsoft Outlook, Excel proficiency; E-Stel
Ability to make sound decisions based on a combination of factors including analysis, knowledge and experience, and judgment required.
Occasional lifting
Ability to initiate and maintain cooperative relationships with co-workers as well as internal/external customers required.
Compensation Range: The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $23.00/Hr. – USD $25.00/Hr. depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
