Are you enthusiastic about manufacturing? Do you have experience in light industrial Quality Processes? Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, this position is responsible for ensuring that the Quality Assurance & Quality Control processes and procedures are defined, implemented, and followed in accordance with the Eaton Quality System (EQS) & ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring the products manufactured in the Edmonton Power Center meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

. This position will be on-site at the Edmonton Power Centre, in Edmonton, Alberta.

What will you do?

Quality process improvement: Utilizing quality improvement methodology to ensure the production process, product quality, and supply chain meet customer requirements, product specifications, and internal and external standards. Update standard work, procedures, department forms, support process optimization, and maintain the latest logs in Quality SharePoint.

Measurement of Quality processes: Working closely with various departments to develop and implement quality control processes, monitor performance, and ensure appropriate actions are taken to protect customers and drive continuous improvement, focusing on Cost of Non-Conformance (CONC).

Certification and compliance: Supporting the Quality Manager in implementing Eaton’s Quality Management System & maintaining ISO 9001:2015 certification requirements. Identifying gaps in QC processes and developing action plans to address them.

Customer Liaison: Providing Customer Quality Management support, analyzing data to monitor warranty claims, performing Root Cause Analysis & Error Proofing, and managing related logs and customer concerns.

Data Analytics: Tracking and reporting performance indicators such as Customer DPPM, Supplier DPPM, Quality Alerts, and Non-conforming materials.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business from an accredited institution (4 years).

• 5+ years of quality experience in manufacturing or operations.

• Legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship.

• Residing within 80 km of Edmonton; no relocation offered.

Preferred qualifications:

• Certified Internal Quality Auditor.

• Registered as an EIT with APEGA or equivalent.

What will make you successful?

The ideal candidate will have a basic knowledge of quality systems in manufacturing and a willingness to learn. Comfort working both at a desk and on the shop floor is essential. Experience as a quality auditor and strong communication skills are highly valued, along with proficiency in data analysis software.
