Legrand has an exciting opportunity with our Starline team for a Quality Specialist to join the Data Center Power & Control Division in Canonsburg/ Southpointe, PA. The Quality Specialist is responsible for day-to-day administration of Starline’s Quality Assurance programs in support of the company’s Quality Management System. The Quality Specialist will be involved in the development, implementation, and maintenance of Quality Systems to meet the requirements of ISO 9001 and other applicable quality and regulatory standards.

What Will You Do?

Initial contact for customer quality complaints.

Lead customer communications regarding quality issue containment, root cause, and overall quality response.

Maintains customer complaint database (Salesforce Case Management).

Communicates with responsible internal groups to initiate root cause corrective actions.

Monitor case turn time and ensure the fastest time to close with the highest quality solution.

Coordinate replacement material with Customer Service, Planning, and Materials team.

Works with relevant departments to ensure successful implementation of quality systems and communicates the impact of changes to affected areas to ensure that the changes are integrated into day-to-day operations.

Ensure proper handling, quarantine, and disposition of nonconforming material.

Conduct failure investigations associated with internal and external quality complaints as required.

Drive timely resolution of corrective and preventative actions.

Effectively communicates information regarding product, quality and safety topics.

Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with various key internal customers including, but not limited to; Team Supervisor, Peers, Assemblers, Manufacturing Engineers, Engineering and Quality.

Adhere to all company policies, guidelines and practices including the SECRIT values.

Support the Quality Manager and Quality Systems Manager as required to ensure customer satisfaction.

Supports the preparation of QA reports.

Leads and supports Quality improvement projects.

Other duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Associate’s Degree in a technical background preferred.

3 years of manufacturing experience.

Flexibility for minimal travel (~20%).

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

Ability to run reports, effectively present information and respond to questions.

Ability to learn Syteline and other business systems as required.

Ability to use MS Outlook, Word and Excel proficiently.

Exposure to Lean Manufacturing Concepts preferred.

Proficient in reading engineering drawings, BOMs and Travelers.

Knowledge of standard wiring practices, IPC training or electrical certification preferred.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

The performance of this position requires exposure to the receiving/shipping and manufacturing areas where, in certain areas, the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and mandatory hearing protection are required.

Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.

Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. occasionally; ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. daily.
